ARGEn Therapeutic Approval at vdek: Therapeutic Service Portal for Providers

The ARGEn Therapeutic Approval bodies are legally responsible for issuing and verifying approvals in the field of therapeutic products. In most federal states, vdek has taken over the management of the ARGE Therapeutic Approval.

Every provider of therapeutic products requires approval under § 124 SGB V. To create an intuitive service portal for these providers, through which they can apply for approval, make data changes, and register new therapists, the therapeutic portal was developed in close cooperation between vdek and ConSol. As a central information base for all users, the portal offers, in addition to the user interface for providers, another application for reviewers in the ARGEn Therapeutic Approval, allowing them to process new approval applications and change requests in a highly comfortable, effective, and efficient manner. All data related to a case, including email correspondence with providers, is now available in one system. Since the portal's go-live in 2020, thousands of datasets from vdek's inventory have been migrated to the new system and supplemented with current data. Thus, the therapeutic portal is the key service institution of the ARGEn at vdek for providers and serves as the crucial data basis for transmitting information to the GKV Central Association.
